Can’t wait to meet you!

I’m back from New York, the city that never sleeps, and nor did I!  What an amazing conference WDC15 was.  I learnt so much and met incredible writers who are now friends.  We’ll be staying in touch through a new blog that we’re putting together (more news to come).

It was an honour to meet agents on ‘pitch slam day,’ as terrifying as it was, every agent was super lovely.

I can’t wait to attend the Writers’ Digest Annual Conference again this year.  With a packed itinerary, I’ve signed up for seminars on character development, creating tension, hybrid publishing, and so much more! From Friday through Sunday I’ll be the swot at the back scribbling notes.  Can’t wait to meet other writers, major authors and of course agents.  Which reminds me, I signed up for the Agent Pitch Slam again.  Think speed dating for writers! 3 minute elevator pitches are the rule and nerves are the norm.  I’ll be pitching a thriller I’ve been working on which was an entirely new direction for me.  After the conference finishes on Sunday I’ll have time for sightseeing and shopping and my kids are already writing a list so I’d better pack light 😉

I can’t wait for the buzz…

The Muse Keeper series has been a blast to write.  Not always comfortable, it’s dragged me to the depths of my comfort zone and then some!  I’m thrilled to have worked with a talented designer at Red Bird Designs on the new covers, and here they are!

My next project, aside from writing of course, is to get to grips with Mail Chimp.  Apparently this cheeky little monkey is in fact a newsletter app rather than the banana eating variety.  I’m going to try and create a whizzy newsletter and will then be bombarding you for your email addresses to feed the chimp.  Here he is, below:
